PORTFOLIO
A sampling of our work can be found here. The goal is to present a range of projects executed well, regardless of style.
This new construction was for a family of 5 that wanted a rambling farmhouse with clean finishes, and a great connection to the outdoors. Slick trowel stucco walls meet exposed rafter tails and a wood shingle roof. The touches are understated yet at each turn, depth and character of space are inviting to each visitor.
This a renovation to a vintage Druid Hills house from the 1910's. We added a new kitchen, family room, breakfast nook and mudroom to keep this house relevant for a growing family. The interiors are fresh and white, while the exteriors stitch the new single story additional masterfully back into the original two story house.
This is a family compound in the Texas Hill Country. The main house functions comfortably for our empty-nester clients on a day to day basis. With a quick twist, the property becomes a gathering place for extended family and friends with the addition of a 4 bedroom bunk house, barn and stone chapel working together to allow a large family to gather without overwhelming the main house.
This was an interior renovation which began by removing all the clutter of over-scaled moldings, columns, vestibules and lots of other chaotic architectural gestures. We replaced it with simple but rich materials: slick troweled plaster walls and ceilings, rift and quartered white oak cabinets and beams, as well as steel windows and doors. The house feels much calmer and streamlined.
This lake house is new construction which linked an existing garage building into a new house. The exteriors are softly stained board and batten, deep overhangs and a metal roof. The open floor plan opens to porches everywhere. No matter where you are, you can see the water and that's what it's all about!
